Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's achieved huge success with the tales she recounts about her early heartbreak. Swift's love for music started at an early stage. From plays for children to performing before thousands, Swift made rapid progress. When she was 11 years old, she performed The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and in the next year, she began playing guitar and began to write songs. Swift became inspired to compose her own songs by the music of country category, like Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift was only 13 when her parents decided to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm to relocate towards Hendersonville Tennessee. She could then devote all of her efforts to contacting the country music labels that were based in Nashville.
